Rainbow Library

The Nancy McDonald Rainbow Library opened at the Salt Lake City GLBT Community Center in 1999 and features more than 3,000 GLBT and non-GLBT titles in a range of fiction and non-fiction subjects. Books are loaned free of charge to members of the community.

The library is named for Nancy McDonald, a long-time GLBT allied community activist. Nancy lives with her husband Joe in Salt Lake City.

She is the past national president of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) and she currently chairs the corporate and foundation giving subcommittee of TOHR’s Pyramid Project capital campaign and is an active member of TOHR’s Advocacy Committee.

Donations of books and other learning materials are accepted from individuals and organizations at the library.

The library is located at the Salt Lake City GLBT Community Center, 406 East Broadway in Salt Lake City.
